Connections to storytelling in Canada

The Canadian storytelling renaissance is alive and well and happening nearby. Most cities and many towns have ongoing groups and/or festivals. There's a national journal of storytelling called Appleseed Quarterly and a national organization called Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada. The Storytellers School of Toronto offers ongoing courses for adults, including an intensive 4-day summer school. Here's information about all of the above.

Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada is a national association of storytellers. It co-publishes Appleseed Quarterly — The Canadian Journal of Storytelling. SC/CC also produces an annual conference of Canadian storytelling. Their website: www.sc-cc.com.

The Storytellers School of Toronto co-publishes Appleseed Quarterly, as well as a quarterly newsletter called Pippin. The School produces the annual Toronto Festival of Storytelling, a series of adult storytelling courses, and the Storytellers Directory for Ontario. The website: www.storytellingtoronto.org.
